4 Best Fun Revolution TV Videos That Will Make Your Day

You might instantly lighten up at the slightest mention of Fun Revolution TV, if you were on the Nepali side of YouTube during the early 2000s. This YouTube channel has been around for more than 10 years, and they’ve been steadily putting out impressive content for all these years.

Their content mostly revolves around satirical social commentary presented as short skits. Moreover, what’s unique about them is the ease with which they manage to convey heavy messages, while being incredibly funny. Not only is the writing effective, but their screenplay and acting is commendable too.

Despite all this, they still haven’t managed to become household names in the fullest sense of the word. This might be because of the fact that the Nepali audience is just opening up to watching what could be called social awareness videos. So, it’s safe to say that Fun Revolution TV was way ahead of its time, and it still seems to be so.

Here are four of Fun Revolution TV’s most iconic videos and how they were so uniquely well done.

1. Boka Haru

This might by far be the best video Fun Revolution TV has released. Boka haru follows two ‘filmmakers’ who are solely focused on profiting off of the thirsty Nepali audience. Later, the whole premise of the story features hilarious character parodies and even an ‘item song’. This video is executed to perfection — commenting on the exploitation that goes on behind the scenes of such videos.

2. Voice of middle class

This video resonated with a lot of Nepali people, since many Nepalis live a strictly middle class life. Voice of the middle class focused on a savior baba ji who guided people on how to act rich. The video is worth the watch and might even make you reflect on the ridiculous acts we put up for society.

3. Lyang Lyang Chaiyo Dhyan Syan

These days, Fun Revolution TV seems to be venturing out to songwriting as well — in the wittiest way possible. This song explores and pokes fun at the typical sasu buhari relationships. Where, the daughter-in-law is expected to complete every household task. On top of it, this song is a blast and will be stuck in your head!

4. Husbands Treated As Buhari

[embedpress height=’400′ width=’600′][/embedpress]

Fun Revolution TV regularly explores the issue of sexism in the Nepali context. This video is a straightforward concept showing how absurd everything sounds when the gender roles are reversed in a Nepali household. Watching the son-in-law being slut-shamed and told to be more gharelu really makes you question the same treatment that our daughters-in-law are being subjected to every day.

Creators like these can really make a change in the mindset of the Nepali audience. If the mass public is casually exposed to what would be considered woke content — Nepal will surely be a more accepting place.
