Video Of Nepali Street Vendor Getting Bullied Has Netizens Infuriated

Nepal isn’t the most prosperous economically, and a large number of the population are low-income households. Many of them have to survive with lower-paid jobs like street vending, surviving on a minimum income. For a good day of sale, these vendors have to walk all day long, even selling products to people inside buses. One doesn’t have to think much to realize that they definitely have it hard. But, as it turns out, there are some insensitive people who show no empathy towards these vendors.

Nepali netizens were shocked to see a recent video spiraling the internet of a Nepali street vendor getting bullied. In the video, we can see a street vendor selling snacks to a person inside a bus. But when it’s time for the vendor to receive the money, the commuter toys heartlessly with the vendor, putting the cash out of his reach every time he tried to take it. The game continued even when the bus started moving, forcing the poor vendor to start running to take the money that was rightfully his. Yet, the commuter found amusement in the situation.

Later in the video, we can see the driver of the bus stepping out of the vehicle to call the person out. The driver can be seen rushing out, shouting “paisa”. Thankfully, the driver knew better and defended the poor Nepali street vendor getting bullied.

It’s utterly upsetting to see a hardworking Nepali street vendor getting bullied. Here’s how the audiences reacted:
