For such a small and burgeoning film industry like the one in Nepal, the last thing we can expect is good visual effects. It doesn’t take a lot of money or technical expertise to write good stories; and we’ve been fortunate enough to receive good movies on that front. But hoping for a Nepali sci-fi movie with next-gen graphics is simply a fool’s errand.
But then again, sometimes it feels like Nepali films aren’t even trying. We don’t expect Hollywood-level effects; but the least they could do is not make it SO bad. After all, it’s not like we don’t have experts in 3D design here in Nepal! Just check out this fantastic music video produced by the well-known studio Jazz Productions.
