After Tik Tok, A Fortnite Ban Might Be Next In The US.

It is not the best time to be a Chinese tech company operating in the US with the Trump administration banning them one after the other.

Tik Tok and WeChat are the most recent Chinese companies to be deleted from the app store in United States, and Fortnite might just follow suit.

Due to security concerns related to data collections, the United States Department of Commerce have taken a decision to ban Tik Tok and WeChat effective from today, September 20th. This is not the first time a Chinese Tech Company has been banned in the US, with Huawei, one of the largest Chinese mobile company getting banned on May 2019.

The US government is cracking down on companies operating in the US with Chinese interests. This comes as a concern for Fortnite because Tencent ( A Chinese Company) owned Riot Outright is a 40% stake holder of Epic Games.

Fortnite has 350 million registered players globally and was the most popular game in the United States, with it being the most searched game in 2019.
