Defending Premier League Champions, Liverpool were humbled last night after losing 7-2 against the nearly relegated Aston Villa side.

An Ollie Watkins’s hattrick, Jack Grealish’s brace, a goal each by John McGinn and Ross Barkley made up the seven goals Villa scored, while a brace by Salah came as a consolation for The Reds. With Allison out with a shoulder injury and Mane sidelined because of the corona virus, many speculate their absence  might have hindered Klopp’s plans.

Liverpool are the first defending Premier League champions to have conceded seven goals in a game since  1953. Liverpool’s defeat came as surprise to many, with a wide range of reactions following the following the defeat.
