For the longest time, Nepali netizens have been paying a ridiculous sum of money for internet connections that are substandard at best. But things might be taking a turn for the better. CG Net, an ISP initiative by Chaudhary Group, launched its tempting services yesterday — 120 Mbps at Rs 999 per month — which puts the rest of Nepali ISPs to shame. For comparison purposes, WorldLink offers 60 Mbps at Rs 2,200 per month. While we are yet to figure out if CG Net is going to stand up to its promises, its speed and prices have definitely raised a lot of eyebrows.
